Put yourself in this position, your in a tank moving in to cap a silo, you meet enemy tank, you win the fight just, your tanks not to clever, one more hit and you’d have been toast.

You ask for supplys, they start to drop(a nice commander, for once), all good, then you see the engineer who has his nice AT launcher getting ready to cook you.
No problems, he’s going to eat tank shell, then ubber l33t rambo on your team runs out at him with a knife.
Your shields aint recharged from your tank v tank battle, it’s a matter of seconds before the engineer lets lose your tanks distruction.

Choice’s.
A.Get out, lose tank, risk splash damage.
B.Die.
C.Cook both, get a TK, repair tank with supply’s, roll on.

Why do I ask this, I picked C and got nothing but grief from about 4 players, I just wanted to know is this me being a noob or them being stupid.

Would you guys TK to avoid a death??, is that the done thing really.

And please no “you’re a noob because your tank got hit in the first place” posts please.

id try and hit the ground next to the engineer(opposite side from the approaching friendly) and hope for splash damage to kill the engi and not the friendly, or i would kill the friendly, its all good.

either die or get a tk just to repair the armor.

I would also TK my squad mate if he is about to get stabed with a knife by the enemy then revive him. Only if this is someone that I trust

I would never accept a tk over a death, i always punish people who do that to me. watch you map, if someone is near the guy you are shooting at, stop shooting at him.

I would probably not fire, but that's just me. It also depends on how hectic the situation really is. If it's crazy, i'm lobbing a shell into the enemy's ass. If I can see what's going on, I'll probably hop out and kill the enemy engi after he wastes my retard of a teammate.

sorry but that tank is more important than rambo knife moron, that 15 seconds he is dead is probably the only time he is not costin your team more tickets by running into fire fights with a knife, that said, try not to hit your own guy, but if u do, f*&k him!

Obviously I did try to not kill the guy holding the knife, but its hard when he's running to the enemy.

It seems to me afew of the reply's some didn't understand my first post. If I can avoid a TK I will unless it is garanteed to result in my death due to a cockend team mate forcing the choice.

Jamiet757 - Did you even read my post. It wasn't a case of me being a greedy killer.

Serioulsy guys there was no time to do anything other than clicky...Boom.

Seat swap would have go me killed.

Read my first post, if there was enough time to seat swap and sight in another gun I would have had loads of more options than I had.

If that didn't connect then I would be dead but at least the tank is not in enemy hands.

c all the way for me, if he is lame enough to jump in on your fight with a knife, then he deserves to get killed. He should wait to see if he kills you, and if he does, then do a Rambo and try and knife him

If some teammate is going to be nutty enough to run up in the middle of a firefight then he's gonna get what's coming to him. Why do you have to be responsible for his decisions? Bonus points to him for going for the knife, but bad timing on his part. I say blow them both up.

Good post, and it's nice to see someone trying to be a teamplayer and avoiding the all so frustrating TK.

I would have picked A. and risked the splash damage. The tank will respawn but you need every last ticket, especially in close games. I'm not saying you were wrong in your decision by any means, in fact, your teammate should have known better and stayed out of your line of fire.

If commander is beeing retarded and not doing anything but afk'ing in the titan or refusing to give your 6-man supersquad supplies because his "on-foot, lone clanmate" needs another magasine for his voss -> i push him off the titan...

B: I'd get out and start repairing the tank myself, even if the enemy gets that shot off it should just make the tank on fire and Rambo can get his knife.

Probably won't work but getting -4 just to get that +1 for a kill isn't worth it
