its kind of obvious since on xfire's site bf2 is played more than bf2142. hell even wolfenstein is played more & that games free.

You know, from recently starting to play 2142...
They're just completely different games. I was expecting Battlefield 2 in the future with more pewpew guns, but I was disappointed on that front. However, I still find 2142 fun for the game that it is- rather than for the game I expected it to be.
2142, from what I've played, is like a mash-up of Halo, inbred with Counter Strike 1.6 grenades (which I hate, how pointless), and then infused with the scent of Team Fortress (kit selection anyone? Recon looks a little familiar). It's damn fun, and a damn good game in that respect- but BF2 it certainly isn't.

I started playing titan again yesterday, and instantly fucked up my 75 conquest winning spree.
Conquest is were the great gameplay is. Titan is noob heaven with no emphasis on teamplay.

I understand what you are saying, in Conquest if you have a great round, chances are your team will win. In Titan mode, people tend to defend more as it'is more easy to get point. Sometimes you get lucky and find a server/team that like to attack and you can actually get as much point that way.

With Titan, the problem is the noob thinking it's so great to defend the Titan by spamming nades for ever. The only way to counter that is to make sure you attack early or make sure you don't destroy 1-3 or 2-4, but 1-2 and then 3-4, if not then is Silo capping time.Bernadictus wrote:

i can only play 2142 for 30min at a time, then i get bored. I can play bf2 for half the day though and i dont get tired of it..

Ah, them flyboys...one of the reasons I left, because if I ever managed to grab a jet, I would promptly be blown up on the landing pad by either A) my own fuckwit teammate throwing a tantrum, or B) rape-o-matic J-10s/MIG's/anything that practice 24/7 baserape. At least with a doragon or Talon, I can about-face and turn the tides on any would-be pursuer.

tried bf2142 didnt like it , game play alittle to slow for me , bf2 getting old same old maps looking for a new game

This is an absolutley retarded argument, as both sides are based totaly on opinion, and nobody is going to convince anybody.
I like both of them, I play them both on and off at a time, they all have ups and downs.

I played 2142 for a while and got up to brig general. But after 300hours of total time played and 100hours with the same rank not knowing what the requirements are is irritating. Besides some toys and couple of new features this game has nothing new to offer. The titan and conquest battles got too repetitive.
And after 1000hours of Battlefield2 the game is still fun and has a lot to offer. If not fly a fighter then a bomber if not a jet then a chopper. There are so many options and so many different ways to have fun.
Its seems like BF2142 is just a boring mod now It was cool the first 50hours but its not a game I'll be playing for 1000+ hours.
The major mistake that DICE made is taking the jet out which was overpowering and replacing it with a walker and Goliath which re more overpowering and less fun to drive and get kills with. They gave us less vehicle variations 2 gunships 2 transports 2 armies 4 kits 2tanks 2 apcs and thats it where in BF2 you got 15diffrent types of jets 10 different types of choppers, more accurate weapons, more realistic grenade radius powerfull explosives better sniper rifles.
