How do i enter it? My thread is dead- All i heard is that you have to press Delete and F2 but it doesn't work at the blue welcome screen (Windows XP)
You have to do that right after you press the power button. When you're at the blue welcome screen, it's already too late.

Seriously: When powering on the computer tapping one of the F keys like F1, F2 or DEL usually brings you into the bios. If you have the boot screen image display disabled (which unfortunately a lot of mobo makers now have enabled by default) then it'll show you what key to press in order to get into the bios.
But, DEL is usually the key.
Unless it's a dell/hp or somesuch.. in which case it's probably F2.

As others have noted, the very most common are Del and F1. Sometimes F2 is used, and if it is a Compaq it may very well use F10.
We've been over this. There is an Administrator password. He needs to disable it. To do that he needs to boot from a linux based boot disc, but to change his boot sequence he needs to enter the BIOS.russ)=spetsnaz wrote:
