the svd and type 88 pretty much are the same thing except for skin and sights.
And the sound. The diff. scope on the Type 88 is a big advantage, so even though they're the same gun in terms of the bullet physics there's a big difference when using them (easier accurate aim, less occlusion of small targets).
That is an interesting point, which I'm not so sure about. Isn't the occluded area in the SVD semi-transparent (I played way too much wake island in the last weeks and am not so sure about it). The lines in the scope can also give you a better idea of bullet drop. It's very difficult to tell, but sometimes I feel that getting headshots is (for me) slightly easier with the SVD than with type 88.

What has he done wrong ? Apart from the fact, that he is claymore-whoring. If he is using an aimbot, it must be a terrible one.

Well, technically, since you can't get it until you rank up, which technically makes you more "pro" than a "n00b", yes, it would be.

I still love the SVD, though.

Well , technically , it takes me 2-4 hours to get 500 points and unlock M95\L96A1. Getting skill with SVD takes much longer .

SVD owns. Prefer it mostly on Ghost town etc, but prefer bolt action on Karkand etc.

Reticles are opaque for all sniper rifles.

Do you mean the black edges beyond the zoomed circle? Opaque too.

For most moderate ranges it's so slight that nothing but the central cross/chevron is used.

Well if it works better for you then go for it. Good idea to play to our strengths.

Strange as it seems lots of aimbot users have rubbish-looking stats with low or lowish accuracy.

In the game I was in with him, he wasn't getting anything but headshots when he hit targets (misses or headshots it looked like). He was kicked after a bunch of hacker accusations, which may or may not mean anything, but I was pretty sure. He got me with a snap headshot jumping, while sprinting left to right, behind cover; anyone can make a fluke shot sometime but he was getting lots of 'flukes' LOL And fluke or skill it required good reflexes but his sucked balls, we had a face-to-face a minute or so after the amazing headshot and he didn't even manage to switch to his pistol before I'd killed him with mine.

For those of you that don't understand sarcasm, he was hinting that 4 hours might be a bit slow.

I thought that was obvious too, given it was gene_pool who made the comment.

But then let's be realistic, not many people can manage an SPM above 4 much less maintain it over any length of time.
