UPDATE!
Well ive started my "training".
I ran last Wednesday, swam / cycled on Saturday and then ran again yesterday.
I felt the gap between Wednesday and Saturday was too large - so im thinking about running on Friday as well.
The course im following is around 3 miles long, and there is a beasty hill at the end of it. Im running this in around 30 - 35 minutes, with a couple of walking, 1 minute, breaks. No asthma! Does this sound OK?
The worrying thing is that after that hill im completely knackered, and the actual Great South Run is effectively 3 times around my course. Should i be aiming to be able to around my course 3 times in one go before the event itself?
Also, a question about diet. What should i be eating more / less of? More carbs? Ive also been eating quite a bit of Kiwi fruit after hearing they're so nutritious. That correct? What is better to take with me to drink when i run, water or energy drinks or something else? (Using water atm...)
Thanks again guys
