i downloaded the 1.41 patch from EA link, EA website, fileplanet, and other sites. Everytime i try to patch it, i keep getting the same error. If anyone has any suggestions or ideas please tell me!!!

Just retry a couple of times. This happened to me 4 times in a row on the 1st patch.
i had that happen once, but re-downloading it fixed the problem. dont know what else to suggest other than a reinstall.
I was getting the same messages every time I tried to patch. Turned out I had a faulty RAM stick. Got some new RAM and the patches all worked fine. You can check if your RAM is faulty with a little program called "memtest". You can download it from heaps of sites.
Make sure that you have erased the ea games folder in your program files directory and the user profile folder in my documents folder. Good luck.
ok, it finally patched,now im getting the good ol' CTD. any suggestions? =\
Same problem my buddy ran into caused him all kinds of problems. Turns out he had a bad stick of ram after hours of re-installs and patching.4D_Nemesis wrote:

problems with other games at all? or only bf?
im only having problems with bf2,and bf2:sf. when i try to join a server it loads to about 62% then it crashes to desktop. i keep trying to join different servers but same results. does anyone know how to fix the problem? i'm going to try memtest but until then this sucks.
