She got rewarded with a promotion after the lies leading up to Iraq war. I guess the presidency is only natural progression.

Just what we need, another neo-con oil shill in office for another 8 years.  No thanks.  She's our first secretary of state that seems completely unable to grasp the idea of diplomacy, but with an Attorney General unable to grasp basic legal principles, and the secretary of defense unable to fathom why we would need an occupation after Iraq (the "known unknowns" speech)...Is there anyone in this administration that can actually do their job?  Oh wait, they fired the last 8...LOL

As far as the black vote, the black community sees her as some kind of freakish traitor (those that are paying attention), I wouldn't count on their voting bloc either, especially with Obama-mania going full swing.  The thing the black community seems to remember about Condi is her shoe-shopping spree while the Katrina floods were going down. ("Oh no you didnah!")

Katrina was an act of God if you want to get technical, but the callous and downright assinine attitude and list of quotes collected in the aftermath by Bushco, as well as FEMA trying to command the mess and hog-tieing local resources, gives a lot of popular perception problems regardless of who's to blame.

Examples -

Bush visiting a small group of yuppie white folks to make promises of rebuilding on camera.

Barbara Bush in her outright racist and stupid comments during the disaster.

Bush saying "We never could have predicted..." when he was briefed about it 8 hours before the levies broke.

Bush saying to the FEMA director "You're doing a heckuva job Brownie!", which came off as either clueless or cynical.

All but a few National Guard resources being...ummm...somewhere else.

Bush's decision to not allow ANY foreign aid for disaster relief.

Granted, the fault of the levies breaking and the hurricane itself couldn't be Buchco's fault by any logical leap, BUT the federal government's reaction to the problem showed just what happens when you put under-qualified political cronies at the helm and/or let them speak on camera.

two things:

2) Why the hell does that matter? What about what he believes in or will do if he gets in office? I couldn't care less what color his skin is, but what he'll do for us.

Getting back on topic, Condi would be great. She doesn't take shit from anybody. We dont need another lay-down president. we need somebody that will get shit done. We need a clone of Reagan
