get a low end C2D instead of amd

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a … 6819115013

about 40 bucks more for this cpu and you will need to get a different motherboard

so maybe 100 bucks more you get an awesome processor and you can overclock it and it ashould smoke pretty much anything amd has to offer

oh yes and another gig of ram

instead of 2 7600GS's why not ... (just a tad more and it will save you some heat in your case)

why not just ... http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a … 6814150171

and hitting that 2GB mark is a must.

I'd go with 2GB ram (2x 1GB), a single fast card instead of the SLI setup, and a separate sound card to squeeze the most processor cycles out of the CPU.

I would also recommend the Intel Core Duo instead of the X2.

Only get SLI if you have more money than the price of the best video card available. 1x $300 video card > 2x $150 video card.

You need 2 gb's of ram.

AMD have failed, for now. Get an Intel C2D.

Sarge speaks the truth! C2D (Core 2 Duo) is much better than AM2, hands down.

I can attest to the extra gig of ram. And you need a beefier vid card. dual 7600GS will not cut it at all.

Everyone is right so far. You need at least 1GB more of ram. I would also drop the SLI configuration and go with one, badass single card. With two you're going to eat up more power consumption and create a lot more heat inside your case. Come to think of it you didn't even mention a power supply. The only other thing I would highly suggest would be adding an X-Fi sound card to that list. Do you have any idea how shitty onboard sound is from a motherboard? You want to play with full blown graphics, but why deprive yourself of full blown sound quality? If you don't want to drop the extra money on an X-Fi card then at least get an Audigy ZS or something. Or if you want to go all the way then grab an X-Fi Fatal1ty/Gamer edition... because XRAM is a beautiful thing.
