anyone else got the veteran ground defence badge, me and nastie_butler have it, anyone else have it too?????
I'm slowly working my way at it with killing APCs, tanks and helicopters with the TOWs. The mounted machine guns are a blast to use and mow down whole squads within seconds, but I have way more fun shooting down helicopters and the odd jet with the Stingers/IGLAs.
look in the top 100 or so in the leaderboards under ground defense. SOme of them even have expert.
anyone who plays as the commander and has the tiniest amount of common sence has it ... just sit in a monuted mg while you command, 15 hours of commanding later you get it ... trivial.

I only jump in mounted MGs and TOW when there is an iminant threat. You know the kind of thing where you run around, shooting guys and then the ominous tank comes 'round the corner. You jump up, and sprint to the TOW missile, firing just in time and leaving a smoking wreckage.

I guess the point I was trying to make is, even though he's #1 on the ground defense leaderboard, his kill totals with it have just about nothing to do with ground defense. It's not like he's uber with the mounted MGs and TOWs.
It's kind of a screwy way to gather stats...like giving you kills "as a sniper" while you're bombing with an airplane...
I love using MGs. The support class has crap for MG's so when I wanna whipe out people without giving them a friggin chance I go for tower MGs.
