I recently had my computer wiped so that I could get it to run faster without all of the crap that my family had downloaded to it. I knew I would have to reinstall both Battlefield 2 and Special Forces by doing this but didn't think I would run into the problem that I have. Battlefield 2 installed just fine but after I installed Special Forces a message kept popping up after I would try to launch the game. This is exactly what it says:

mods/bf2/shaders/lighting.fx not found! _DO_check your working directory, _AND_sync your shaders folder before calling upon your local rendering programmer/GP. (really!)

I'm not technologically gifted when it comes to this stuff so I'm hoping that someone here will know what to do. I would greatly appreciate any insight you guys have to offer.

did you use ea downloader or a disk?

delete your bf2 folder in my docs, by the way. see if that works. back it up first though, just in case.

Ohhh ive had this before i think.

I cant find the link but i think you need to copy some files (e.g. ligting.fx) in your BF2 folder from one directory to another.

Sorry cant be more help.

Scroll down to the last 3 posts.

All you do is search for the file it wants and then copy it to that other directory.

completely from your PC.
