Okay, so I'm playing happily blah blah blah, then the game lags, I get disconnected and kicked, and it says I must go www.punkbuster.com to update my PB software. Done that, even though it automatically updates itself, and I still get the same message.
I don't currently have a screeny, but it generally says go to PB to install the latest software.

It dun work, and I get really annoyed. Its been happening for 2 or 3 days now, and I keep updating and checking, but doesn't seem to work.

Any suggestions?

Sounds like your firewall is blocking the PB connection ......

Have you updated anything?? check that PB is allowed to connect through the FW ..check windows firewall too....

check the following ports are allowed

PunkBuster for Battlefield 2 uses outgoing UDP Port 16567 to communicate with Master Servers. This is the same port used by default by Battlefield 2 for gameplay.

i had to actually run PB from the desktop to get it to work.

If all else fails, try actually updating it the manual way.......

Yea I downloaded it to my desktop, and its completely screwed. Doesnt really change.
