In theory, yes. But they don't have the votes to override in the senate. They may in the house, not in the senate.

Would this also mean that Bush would be vetoing the military funding also?

Good point, I mean, it's an amendment or something to the resolution right? So is it possible for G-Dub to veto a section of the amendment?

The Line-Item Veto Act was ruled unconstitutional in 1998, so no.

The amount of pork in the bill zeros out any creditability either party has.

Too bad our president is such a complete moron. The "man" can't even string together two words without looking like the retard he is.

Meh, your Senate doesn't look that bad compared to ours..

Canada's senate is non-elected chosen by the PM, they Rubber Stamp the bills, so they pretty much dont do anything, and they are paid like 200,000 - 220,000 a year.

umm.........no, you're completely wrong.

congress was nonelect, thats true, but reps were chosen by state legislators, a fact anybody with basic US history knowledge (states' rights were HUGE issues during the early years) knows.

and trust me....US reps were elected FAR before the 20s.

You are obviously dumber than the president if you saw a threat in there.

I can only hope your "friends" in the Secret Service are smarter than you. (Not like it will be hard to do)

What a total dipshit. First, there was no threat, implied or otherwise. Second, I am sure even the losers of the SS have better things to do than read this forum.

It will be vetoed and they will have to try again.  All the Dems are doing is making thier point, just like the non binding resolution that meant nothing.
