I'm curious as to what kind of background you guys/(gals?) have. A list of online FPS games you played in the past would suffice.

As for me:

I started around 96.

Duke Nukem 3D (anyone remember TEN?)
Quake 1 (TEN, mplayer, heat, Net Quake)
Counter-Strike
Day of Defeat

Probably started around 94 95. Originally had a 28.8k modem, and then i HAD to upgrade to ultra mega 56k. Would spend so much time connecting and reconnecting to my ISP to get that magical 48.8K connection!
Server is 195 ping??? BITCHIN!!

Started playing FPS January last year. A friend got me into it with Halo. Played that for a month, got BF2 because my friend showed me it was obviously better. Played BF2 until summer. Same friend showed me that CoD2 was okay. Continued playing BF2. So,
