Well the good things about obesity. More poeple die less resources used = resources last longer and are cheaper. Its a lose win situation.
When I say they don't drink much Fosters, I mean the actual drink 'Fosters'sergeriver wrote:

I don't think they even drink Fosters in Australia (or its very limited anyway), the Australian thing is just a gimmick. A kind of USP.deeznutz1245 wrote:
To many kegs of Fosters.

I wasn't referring to the whole Fosters group company portfolio.
Ask any Auzzie on here, I'm sure they will agree that the fact they drink Fosters, is a common misconception. Anyhow we digress from the topic.

We don't drink fosters, we drink the good stuff, and send you the 2nd rate Fosters, it's marketing genius
When I was stationed in Hawaii, I learned that fact real quick.<BoTM>J_Aero wrote:

Guess Americans are not the only ones who like hamburgers.

Yawn, the typical Australian ambulance Isn't the giant Box ended car. They're mostly just normal Vans.

Im sure i can think of a stereotypical reason why this is... hmm...

Here, you'd call them medivac helicopters. Air Ambulance is what the rest of the world calls them:Stingray24 wrote:

US:

These are the two choppers of Angle One, the transport service for Arkansas Children's Hospital. This is what I used to tool around in.
Germany:

France:

Australia:

This would be an example of one that's too small. This is Care Flight 1 out of sydney.

This is CareFlight 4, also out of syndey. It's plenty big for fat people, but (like the sikorsky choppers I worked in) is lousy for field work, as it's too big and has wheels instead of skids. No good for landing anywhere other than a helipad.
And that's too bad for them. An ambulance that looks like this:Fenix14 wrote:

has a much longer useful life than one that looks like this:

Here in the US, we call the top one a Type III, and the bottom one a Type II. The difference is that on a Type III, you can take the box off the back and drop it on a new chassis when the old one wears out. As the box is the expensive part, you get a much larger return on your initial investment. With a Type II, when the chassis wears out, you have to junk the whole thing. I know boxes that are on their 5th and 6th chassis, meaning they're working on being in service for 500K to 600K miles of service (typically, you junk an ambulance chassis at 100K to 125K worth of mileage).

Too bad. Beer guts are sweet. Easy to lose as well - just stay off beer and bread for 10 days and your beer gut is gone! thats only if your beer gut is to do with the bloatedness caused by the yeast. too many late night kebabs and burgers, well, its going to take a little longer to lose...some_random_panda wrote:

back to the fatties - how DEGRADING! i would be so shamed if i had to wait while they rounded up a heavy duty ambulance. itll never happen to me, i am no where near overweight, let alone obese - but i imagine the scenario would be likely to occur.
