Voss is meant for close quarter battles, it does it's job well.
Baur is meant for longer ranged encounters, it does it's job well.

I think your kind of overplaying its recoil there, it has noticable recoil on full spray. If youve got a problem with CQC voss users, dont play CQC, use a Baur. Easy as pie.TheOneAndOnlyX wrote:

I'm like 600th in the world with the Baur, so I know how to use it. For shits and giggles I tried the Voss and I found it significantly easier to kill people at all ranges. Mostly because you can just spray rather then bursting or single shotting with the Baur. Couple that with the 40 round clip versus the 20 round clip of the Baur, and you have a serious balance issue between the guns.

im a Krylov fanatic personally, and if i am EU i will use the SCAR over the Baur or Voss,
but i would tend to agree that the Voss has jsut a little too much power at long range. i get killed more from the Voss at long range than the Baur, and its usually a small burst that does it, 2-3 bullets. if the Voss has a short range burst that is super deadly i do not mind...
really in the grand scheme of things i dont care wither way if they nerf the Voss somewhat to make it less effective at long range. imo the Voss is 2142's noob stick, the basic guns are superior to both the unlocks in the Assault tree.

As a warrior on the battlefield it only makes sense to use the weapon that is most effective given the current situation. Since I am usually a squad leader and I'm running around silos and flags in close combat the Voss is most effective. If I feel like hanging back and picking people off, then I grab the Baur. No dumbing down is needed. If you won't use what works because you have too much skill, then I'll gladly be labeled a noob when I'm standing over your corpse with my Voss and 34 round left in my clip.
This is a question of situations and player ability, not the guns. The voss is not an all ecompassing kill everyone gun. If you get killed toe to toe with the voss then it's your fault, or it was out of your hands (ie ambush). If you see someone coming at you, take them down before they get to you. The voss cant hit shit at distance. Deal with it, it can be defeated.
