Is it me or are the graphics in BF2 better than the ones in BF2142. I'm talking over level design and complexity of the textures. Does anybody think that BF2 had more realistic buildings, trees, vehicles, ect..?
..."realistic" games generally aren't set in time periods we have no idea about.
ok then i guess we can judge based on two things then.
Design = BF2 wins in my opinion (no cheesy graphics like cartoons)

I find that the graphics are better in BF2142 than in BF2. Are you comparing the 2 on the same settings, otherwise it would hardly be a fair test.

Graphic are better in BF2142... just in NS, to see the smoke coming out of the mouth of other players is nice.
both on a X2 3800+ at 2.4ghz 2gigs RAM, 8800gts640, same in game settings.

I have. levels like Marshur City,Sharqi Peninsula, Dragon Valley have the best graphics i think.
There on the same engine so the graphics cant be that much better...

With me:
BF2 maxed out: 50-60 FPS
BF2142 Maxed out: 30-40 FPS
Meaning BF2142 is a heavier game -> Better graphics.
(Both on 32 player servers, with a similar ping)

Same Engine=Same Graphics, their the same, boils down to opinion.
They use the same engine, but there's more code in BF2142 which is why framerates are lower on the same settings. Im not too sure but i think more code means 'better' graphics, but its entirely opinionated.
Besides, BF2 is far more realistic, and i doubt we'll have plasma pistols and hover tanks in less than 150 years...

i have a friend that agrees that the graphics in bf2142 suck and that the weapons suck too.
2142 graphics are much better

pff, maby the textures are slightly better in 2142 (i personally dont think so) but 2142's models really suck. They are really low poly and ugly.
