Has anyone noticed any difference from unlocking the boots... is there a way to use them (button to press when landing)
No they just automatically work. I've noticed a slight increase in how fast your stamina increases but haven't noticed a thing with jumping off of shit. Heights seem to hurt you just the same as they did before.
No they are passive and you don't have to do anything to activate them. They reduce the damage you take from falls and you recover sprint faster.Craig1998 wrote:

Maybe shit doesnt stick to these future boots?BeerzGod wrote:

I have noticed when starting a round, I can run longer and get to destinations faster then other people now. Not much faster, but I'll take any little advantage that I can get.
Before unlocking the boots there are other unlocks that are more worthwhile, like the extra round for the rockets, or the infantry sonar. But the boots are worthwhile.
Boots = win.

Yeah I haven't noticed any difference when falling down but it seems that stamina recovery is a tad faster now just as BeerzGod said.
But even if they are only slightly better they are still better.
And it's not like unlocks are hard to get...

After some testing, here are the numbers:
Fall Damage - Tested by walking off the tank & apc hangars on sidi:
35 damage without boots vs. 25 damage with boots - no change between light and heavy armor
Sprint recovery:
Tested by sprinting until bar was exhausted and timed the recharge from just standing
without boots - 16s for heavy and 11s for light
with boots - 13s for heavy and 9s for light
So the boots give ~18% increase in sprint recovery regardless of armor type
Nice find! +1
yea, the boots were my first choice...
take off your armor and you can usually run from flag to flag without getting winded,
i never take heavy armor any more, unless i am sniping

I have noticed a difference, I can now drop of the balcony's on Berlin etc without taking any damage at all!!!, before I toke like 3-4 damage.
Still might just be me looking for a plau point to using the unlock, but it appears to have done the trick.
