An adult in a kids body. This way, you have the wisdom and knowledge, but without the responsibility.

absolutely the same here.

cherish your sophomore year in high school. its the last easy one you'll have.

when you hit junior year, suddenly everything matters.

you have near zero free time; you spend it all studying for tests, SATs, ACTs, and AP tests. it fucking sucks. i hate it.

the reason so many high school students get depression is because its the most stressful time in the average, normal person's life. ever.

to fully realize that your future depends entirely on this one single year is a lot of pressure.

one fuck up, regardless of how big, could mean everything. thats another truckload of stress there.
yep that sounds right
along with the "what uni do you want to go to and what course do you want to do, we have thousands so don't worry about not having much to choose from" damnit i don't even have a clue what i want to do later on in life i have no idea what courses i want to do and i have absolutly no idea what universities will take me on
all i have been told so far is that i get a restricted loan because of my parents earnings and that i might not get the grades...YAY!...
if the drinking age is raised i may top myself
its hard enough to get drunk as it is...

I turn to the ripe old age of 21 years as of 4th of April.  I guess that officially makes me a man.

Although there are benefits with being an adult, such as being able to drive, drink alcohol, (as it happens I am rather shitfaced now) get a real job etc... One should never forget the stress of being a youngster.

Adults have a tendancy to forget how stressfull school/college was.

I was forever trying to make my parents and grandparents happy by getting the best grades possible so that I coud attend the best university...

Now that I am at university I still have to satisfy them by getting the best degree possible...it is a real burden.

To summarise I prefer to be adult any day, due to the fact that kids are in a constant battle to try and impress their parents and peers, which is one the most important things in life.  Remember guys, being a 'kid' is not easy.
Somewhere, something incredible is waiting to be known.

I got as much of the above at 17 and 18 (actually a lot more) than I did at 27 and 28.  And if I get to count "child" until I was 21 it's not even close.  And the level of responsibility (job, kids, mortgage, etc. )at 27 and 28 was significantly higher.  So I'm going with the very end of "child".

Agreed. At 37 for two more months, I'd say my biggest complaint is that life is too short.

In UK you can do anything by the age of 18, so for me that means adulthood begins at 18.
