just played BF2 for the first time since launch day of 2142... after trying to specialize so long in sniping in 2142.. which sucks for those who haven't had that experience.

I came back today.. a long time veteran of BF2 ..pretty accomplished and played a 24 7 sharqi server starting halfway through the round... When i joined the leader had 37 points. After only a few minutes i had 15 kills and 2 deaths all sniping. ended up with 24 kills and 7 deaths at the end of the round 56 total points and 4rth overall scoring under a tank whore.. a heli whore and the winning commander...
only a few points behind each. Did i miss something.. because when i joined 2142 it didn't seem that hard, but coming back to this game was way easy in comparison.

You move like a penguin when playing inf on 2142, and the weapons don't aim right compared with bf2.

and in BF@ i can MOVE and snipe... i mena i know its more realistic to have to go prone to snipe effectively, but. You would figure over 150 years tech would go up not down. Im sticking with this for now

whats all your peoples problem with the 2142 weapons and not being able to run properly? I can hit and kill with them easily. I can even snipe (in BF2 i can't snipe for shit). Yes they react differently but are still as lethal. Sprint distance is also good if you get the upgrades and/or drop the armor. You shouldn't be shot at while sniping so dropping the armor should be no real problem. I routinely finish rounds in 2142 40-5

Actualy if you ask me sniping in 2142 is much easier than in BF2. Increased zoom, waaaay better hit detection and the fact that you stay in zoomed mode between shots - easier to follow the target between shot and you fire faster.

after playing that every things else is crap. When I play BF2/2142 I get pissed off at tank repairing faster than I can shoot them, reviving to full health, insta healing/rearming (or very fast for 2142), flags changing hands 50 times every round, helplessness against air units, damn gun unlocks (all armies running around with same guns WTF), no assault lines OMG, spawning on flags etc.

I went from BF2 to 2142 cause i was raging at bf2's rego, and i went 52-5....

2142 is hell easy.

i dunno its not fluent and only certain gun have gun shake WTF!

small things annoy me the park has a bi-pod but when prone you still shake, so whys it there?

bf2 is a better game for me
