So yeah there I was enjoying a night in watching a DVD when I hear a cat at the door. I was constaly meowing and must have been lost.

Put it outside but it just sat there and started to cry, so I have decided to take it in until the morning as the weather is bad.

nicknamed him Milkshake.

I just took in a stray a few months ago. It was starving to death and had mats covering it's entire body. Needless to say, I cut off the mats and gave it some food. It now lives at my gf's house and is quite possibly the best cat ever. I've never seen an animal so appreciative of everything it has.

Sober enough to know what I'm doing, drunk enough to really enjoy doing it

bad move, unless you've got the heart to kick it out tomorrow. i have a cat...well my girlfriend does anyway and unless you castrate it, it will mark territory and get really smelly. if you do this then u deal with it scratching all your furniture. and after all that, it will get fat and complacent and will not be afraid to use its claws. if you get through all of this you will be left with an animal for which you have to work day and night to gain their trust only to get the occasional "i'm bored so i'll give you a little attention" attitude.

i'm not a cat person. dogs make more sense for me!

btw, i got my 40 inch samsung lcd today and as soon as i turn it on the cat is there following the images on the lcd trying to catch em...did not make me happy knowing those claws would be swiping at my screen!!

Yea cats are amazing, especially when you take them in as strays or the humane society because it saves their lives. I currently have 4 cats: 2 from the local humane society, 1 from a cat adoption convention, and 1 we found (and couldn't get to leave:rolleyes:) The one we found is undoubtedly the most friendly. He's the only true lap-cat we have, and even though he's kinda ugly, he's still the most respectable cat. Even though our other 3 cats hate him:-D.

Well, looks like it's been taken care of pretty good up until either it ran away or the owners left it, so someone could be looking for it. Do you have a local animal shelter? If I lost a pet that's where I would check first. Unless you want to keep it. What I would do would to (if you have a shelter) tell them you found the cat, and if no one claims it in a week keep it if you want it

Well, make sure you get it fixed and make it have a check up, otherwise you may have to deal with some problems. But cats are great, besides fucking up your furniture. And believe it or not, you can train it a bit. I got my cat talking to me; he's very vocal. Depending on what i say, he'll respond with a variety of meows. Pretty cool actually, and he jumps up on stuff if i ask him to.

some years ago I found a stray cat, a kitten. I gave it to my sister (as revenge, because she gave me my first cat), too bad that cat died 2 years later.. I have two cats.. and i hate one them, that damn cat tore apart my internet cable, cellphone charger cable (while recharging) and now it steels my socks, and to make it even better, that cat has looong white hair and that is everywhere... i hate pets...

well this cat is one of the friendliest cats alive I think. Will not leave us alone and is contantly wanting our attention. He/She has not been a problem so far, but trying to phone round some numbers and see if anyone has reported a missing cat.

I REALLY can not keep a cat here because he doesnt look like a proper house cat (i.e. one that doesnt go out) and because we live on the top floor flat, I can not really let him out because how will I know where he/she is going or when he/she wants to come back in.

Yeah I phoned a place called Pet Search and they took a note of my details.

Not to worry though, we looked after the cat for a couple of days, then the owners came to pick it up on the saturday, so he is back with them.

The cat actually used to live in the same block of flats that I stay in. It lived there with its previous owners who then moved somewhere else. They then decided to move to OZ so gave the cat to some people who live round the corner. The cat must have then escaped and came back to mine!
