The European Colonist brought new farming techniques pesticides, mass production techniques with a bang into a country who's people were still largely relying on migratory herds. Goes back to the same problem of more advanced peoples interfering in the natural evolution of other peoples. Nother time........
They had their industrial revolution recently. A socialist or Communist dominated world would be giving Africa a lift up. But in a capitalistic, imperialist world it makes economic sense to keep them down.

My Dad works in the office of a regional irrigation firm which provides irrigation to farms up and down the South Island (about the same size as Georgia or Illinois), they have somewhere in the order of 15-20 engineers working for them. 2 are from South Africa and 3 are from Zimbabwe (all white). Before the land seizures they had 1 South African.
