I guess it could sometimes be usefull in an attempt to "blind" the tank while his recon buddy is preparing a surprise in the form of RDX.
It's just like shooting the Titan AA gun at the enemy Titanshield, it does no damage, but it can [whisper]'hide' the departure of teammates in a transporter.[/whisper] <-'no usefull tactical info here, move on.'

Nothing more funny than a tank spending all his attention on you while your teammember is RDXing his ass

I vaguely remember in the demo, the the AA guns did damage to armor. I remember camping at silo four of sidi power plant map and taking out the APC as they would come in. Does anyone else remember or was I just smokin' something that day? Obviously now, the AA guns are worthless against armor... That's not what I'm saying... I'm rather suprised that the Gunship users didn't use the Tank metal armor as it seems to be totally immune vs anti air turrets. Tanks is also much more durable than a Gunship when it comes to crashing into things.

But yea people who use AA no either walker/APC/Tank are asking for a quick death. The only thing that bothers me is that it's do friking anoying.

It's the same with Titan AA vs other Titan AA, idiots will be idiots and will keep firing because they think they can kill you. The even more anoying thing is when they fire at the shield and notice the hit reg symbol that turns up on hits. So they think they can damage it and kill it. >.>

God I hate those people, plus the 24/7 constant firing of the Titan AA isn't fun anymore.

Think about it. You need light armor for gunships, after all, Speed IS their armor. Trying to put such heavy tank armour would make the thing unmovable.

Could it possibly be related to anything measured in lbs. and/or Kgs?      *whisper*weight*whisper*

Well they got this huge Titan that's pretty impossible to kill with an AA. Only the turrets are weak vs it. XD

But the weight might be one of the things but I still find it funny.

You are right about that 1 though :]   but the titan would be a little overpowered if you where unable to take out its defenses    and at the end of the day, i will take gameplay quality over realism anytime

EDIT: Oh and remember,, the titan turrets hang down in a short cable/mount thingy to get them on the outside of the shield,, there could be some weight issues here too ... but they should be capable of giving it more armor than a FAV.. atm FAV's and Titan turrets can withstand the same amount of stationary AA fire
