After several weeks of tweaking them to perfection. The time has finally come. Awaited since October 2006, Battlefield 2142 Modifications created by the infamous leetkyle, creator of the best Battlefield 2 Modified Localization Files in the world. Previous conversations throughout the past 5 months, awaiting the modified files:
As of Edition 1.07 (Calculated 1.07 in that this is now out of BETA, there has been one large edit to the files and an extra six smaller updates prior to release) :
# You Killed 'Player' - Player is now shown in orange
# Added Factions to Vehicles
# Added Class to Weapons shown at top left of screen
# Added values to Support Actions. Shown as [+1] etc.
- You got 'a healing point' - A Healing Point is now shown in orange
# Fixes reported from Beta Testers
# Added points awarded to Pins, Ribbons and Badges
# Added the weapon in which a person was teamkilled with
# Northern Strike Awards
# Fixed issues related to |C1001
# NEW TO 1.07: Fixed Quotation Mark Error!
There are some known errors. Like any update, these are trying to be rectified as soon as possible so that a new update can be released. The current known errors are:
- #NAME? Appears when you have done something that leads towards a field upgrade for your squad (you'll still get the field upgrade though)
Okay.. but I'm just useless at removing all these weird files. I'm scared I'll screw up. Can't you do anything?
Well, I have! I have created an .EXE Program File that will install them automatically for you! You can just sit back and enjoy. Designed for both ease of use and comfort, the EXE will self-delete your current modification files (make a backup if necessary) and replace them with my version, in which you'll never want to go back to 'stock' again. RAR and ZIP Files are available on demand but not available for public download.

Previous conversations throughout the past 5 months, awaiting the modified files:
I started off testing and completely screwed the game up. After never figuring the problem, I re-did them in Microsoft Excel. Now, better than ever, the modification files are becoming closer and closer for a public release.
Early concepts of the modification files included very detailed information given on weapons, vehicles and even awards. But now, I have opted for a chic look that simply cannot be beaten.
Previously built for the 1.19b patch, a new update has been added to the files for full compatibility with the full 1.2 patch. Boasting chic looks, detailed but not cluttered information and knowing what points you got for what award is only just the beginning. Now, after just a day after the 1.2 patch release, the files are ready for public download.The second draft of modifications came out better than anticipated. Ever since, more and more details have been added to give the player the extra edge while playing Battlefield 2142.
