Just a FYI. In NSW, if you're a P or L plater (both P plates, red and green) you cannot drive a car with a V8 engine.
No turbo charged engines. (Unless a 4WD)
No supercharged engines. (Unless a 4WD).
Also by the end of this year you have to show your L/P plates on the EXTERIOR of the car.
And to top it off, end of this year, no high performance 6 Cylinder engines (ie. BMW M3).

And to think i'll be going for my license soon... WITH these goddamn restrictions.
Oooh! Oooh! BA! BA!
And we won't get the changes laws in Victoria. Watch.
My state was founded by Batman. Your opinion is invalid.
We took the No V8's, Turbos or superchargers law. Its only a matter of time now.

Those laws are only for P drivers, im on my L's. learner drivers are exempt from the laws becausse they have a fully licensed driver with them at all times while driving check the website
Will the prohibited vehicle conditions affect learner drivers?
No. As learners can only drive under supervision, the conditions will not apply. A learner can attempt the driving test in a prohibited vehicle but is restricted from driving prohibited vehicles once a provisional licence is issued. Provisional licence holders are not allowed to drive prohibited vehicles, even if supervised.

How many Chevy engines do you see in real racing (F1, rallying etc.) or in nice sports cars? The Mondeo engine has gone into loads of great cars.Stingray24 wrote:

Australians make cars that are great for 2 years, then start to fall apart.
German engineering or Jap reliability, ONLY!

You paid almost 8 grand for that car?? You got ripped off dude!!
The car has almost 90,000 miles and is a 98' Ford for christs sake!!!
That car in the USA would be about 3 to 5 grand totally cherry or less!!
You could have bought a new one if you were willing to spend 8 thousand! Put down a down payment and drive out with a 2007 or 06' Ford for christs sake!!!
Next time consult your fellow friends on the forums. . . Not to damper your purchase, its great to have a "new" car, but that is paying too much!!
