the guy was mad( he was not even a U.S. citizen he was Bosnian Muslim) about the war in teh Balkans thats why he came to U.S. or US accepted him as a refuge in Utah. So because of the war in The Balkans between the Serbs and Muslims the guy took his aggression on people here.

Because by allowing guns to be legal it not only supplies criminals with the guns but it also makes it much more sensible for criminals to arm themselves, hence more armed criminals. Why must responsible gun owners punish the rest of everyone?Smitty5613 wrote:
i think you should move to England, then you would have all guns banned and you will be happy :)...... for every person who uses a gun for a crime, there are at least 100,000 who dont.... so why punish the responsible gun owners?PureFodder wrote:

It does seem that despite the obvious problems that gun ownership causes that America is firmly stuck in it's ways over the issue, at least for the forseable future anyway.
Oh and going by the FBI's data there are 100 gun crimes per 100,000 americans each year.
BTW, already there.

Australian guns safeties work opposite from the US(like toilets flush clockwise there), and they were using US guns??usmarine2007 wrote:

tobacco is obviously a bad product. go ahead, speak out against that too. everyone is bitching about guns except us. cultural differences. we have freedom, and we like it.
I dont think the right to own a gun is in the Geneva convention. Therefore it isnt counted as a human right, it is only counted as a rule based upon a countries laws. So infact it has nothing to do with rights.Smitty5613 wrote:

Up until recently I thought gun ownership was like jacking your car up to 16 ft tall. You're lacking something (in the pants). Then I realized that if our government gets anymore corrupt, we're going to need to have the means to rebel. Therefore, I'm pro gun ownership.
Don't give me this self defense bullshit. If no one had guns then we'd all half to resort to knife fights -- gun deaths go down by 100%.. genius
i apologize if i offended you, i wasn't trying to bash England..... but in the US, it is the 2nd ammendment in the constitution... our country is based on the constitution, if we go changing it, then we are changing our country, some stupid people are talked into doing things that get them hurt, but we dont try and put laws on controlling the 1st ammendment (freedom of speech)even though we dont need freedom of speech to survive.... those who give up freedom for safety, don't deserve to be freeVilham wrote:

I know, i wasnt offended, i was just pointing out that owning a gun isnt a human right, it is just an agreed freedom. Like being able to smoke or drive.
maybe its not an international right, but it is a right for citizens of the US in the USVilham wrote:

The chance of getting shot in the US is about the same chance as what you posted here. It astounds my why this causes so much fascination with foreigners.Vilham wrote:
Shows your pretty weak that you need a gun to defend yourself against someone.Parker wrote:

Yeah its gunna be great when you get shot by someone isnt it..? Have fun with that. Ps dont come to England.
lets hope you never have to look down the business end of a firearm.....i dont think that attitude will be enough to defend yourself with
Where as i can defend myself much more easily seeing as the chance they have a gun is about 0.005% Im willing to take that risk to lower homicide rates and accidental deaths...
