I'm no tech-head so this might seem like a stupid question, but non the less,it puzzles me.

My graphic card is NVIDIA Geforce 7100 GS and it says it supports 512 MB,but i found that its only 128..
the thing is that i opened a file called in the Battlefield 2 folder on my start menu, and in there it said that i have 512 mb...(???)

what puzzles me is that if i really have 512 on my card, why cant i run everything on high ress or at least on medium ress? and shouldn't it be almost CTD free? (as good as it gets, its bf2 we are talking about here!!)
but i only have 128,which i think is more likely,i should only be able to run the game at low-to-medium ress?!and thats what I'm doing now,but i still have some issues with CTD,and it comes at the most inconvenient times i might add...!

can someone enlighten me to what the problem might be? i have been reading about crash problems and various fixes, but nothing seem to work...!

PM me if you have anything that might help please:)

thanks in advance

the 7100 isa card with 128MB of memory expandable to 512MB using system RAM accessed by the chip's TurboCache.

ok, the Graphics card has 128 MB of memory,  it has a feature that uses your computers memory also, making it have a total memory amount higher, but at the expense of taking up some of your computer's memory.

Graphics card use thier own memory, yours does too, but utilizes the computers memory also.  Computer memory is used to run programs and such, while graphics memory processes the video output. They are seperate. your graphics card takes some of the computer memory, and uses it for graphics processing.

I for BF2 you need 512 megabites of RAM (Ramdom access memory) Which has nothing to do with Graphics but 128 megabites of Graphics RAM is ok for the game, but you can expand to 512 megabites.

Don't worry mate, it'll be fine
