That is debatable. It could be argued that the Israel/Palestine was pretty bad but I'm not even going to go there.
The Rwanda Genocide was not that long ago. The sad thing is that even though it only happened 1n '94, many people today don't know about it. I've met a few guys who served in the Canadian Army during this time and who were sent there after the Genocide. These guys are still scarred today and the stories they told and the pictures they showed were horrific. One of the guys came in and did a presentation at our school, and most of the students didn't know about it.
If you watched the video, you heard that a lot of the murders happened in churches. One of the guys said that a bunch of Rwandans locked themself up in a Church to protect them, and instead of leaving them, the militants burnt the church down with the people inside. Another picture he showed was the inside of another church with the ground littered with skulls and bones. It was not pretty. He also talked of how they found a woman on the ground whom they had raped, then cut all of the tendons in her hands, arms, and legs so she could not move, and then they left her.
This is not something to be forgotten. Let us hope that it never happens again.
