CLEMSON, S.C.
"Clemson University President James Barker criticized an off-campus party where white students mocked black stereotypes by drinking malt liquor and wearing fake gold teeth. At least one student dressed in black face. Another person padded her rear. Barker said the school is investigating and he's angry and disappointed by the event. School officials said they became aware of the party over the weekend and have met with some offended students. Students said the party had a gangsta theme. It was held over the Martin Luther King holiday weekend. An unsigned letter from party organizers read to some of the offended students yesterday apologized for any disrespect. School officials say members of at least one black fraternity attended the party and then left."

Question: If this party was comprised of people wearing mullet wigs, sleeveless t-shirts and jeans while drinking cheap beer with Lynard Skynard playing would the party be racist against poor white people?
2nd Question: When did malt liquor become exclusive to gangsters?
Personally I'd attend the mullet party as a white person and have a good laugh even if a black or asian person painted their face white. Does this kind of thing really offend black/african-american folks or is it just another example of political correctness gone nuts? I would not attend the gangster party because it would be labeled racist and I'm not racist. The fact remains it was a gangster themed party which some black fraternity members attended, not a meeting of white supremacists. Even if people make fun of stereotypes of my race, I laugh, but that's just me. Getting all angry just gives the win to people who truly are racist, imho.
