Ohhhh, I'm sorry! Let's toss all our history books out the window right now, because we're just "dwelling on the past."

Whilst I agree it was a horrible act, I don't really understand why we suddenly get this thread. Surely it's far more appropriate to make one on the anniversary or something?

So if I was to randomly start making threads about my birthday at various points in the year, you wouldn't complain?

Like everyone else in our country on September 11th 2001, I watched the tower collapse on TV. I was in 7th grade at the time, but I knew what that meant. Not only were we at war, that was easy, I knew about the loss of life. I am a firefighter, at the time I was not, but I grew up in a firehouse. When I saw the towers fall, all I thought, all I could see was the brave men and women in those towers running up those stairs. September 11th showed our world who the real heros are and were. It changed our perspective forever, the problem is people are forgetting. You see the "We will never forget" stickers, but Americans are. But I can not, I don't think of it every second of every day, but I still think of them everyday. Every time me or any other firefighter gets on the truck to go to a fire call we are willing to give the same sacrifice they did. And in doing so I will never forget the 343 firefighters who died in New York City on September 11th 2001.

I sure wouldn't, because your birthday is just as important as the WTC collapse!

Ok, bad example, say the dropping of the atomic bomb on Hiroshima then.

Not if your birthday impacted thousands of people.

There are dozens of situations that impact thousands of people on a daily basis, but to make a topic about every single one of them on a random moment in the year is just silly. What was the point of this topic anyway, to make people go; "Yes, we shall never forget, god bless America and may Allah have mercy on our souls."?

Sorry if it makes me a genuine fucktard but that's just downright stupid. 9/11 will be remembered on September 11th (SHOCKHORROR!!!)! Not on January 28...

That was me venting, now if you all excuse me I have to create a very important topic about the 5th of May...

ATG suggests we not forget that the pain and dying happening today is what it is because that happened.

If you're a conspriacy nut, we're still in Iraq because it happened. If you're a patriot and support George Bush, you know that Iraq and 9-11 are one and the same. If you're a neocon, 9-11 gave us the impetus to go into the region and further our nefarious ends, muh hahhah.
If you are a camel jocky and your mothers sisters camel just got killed and your goat is dead by a IED chances are it's because 9-11 happened.

Seems to me that the further we devolve into conflict here in the states, the more and more we ought to look at the pictures.

1st of all, your derailing my thread. Second of all, if the things your alleging are true, get some links besides the site you linked to and present your case in a thread of your own.

I've never seen that before; if there is creditable evidence that Israelies knew in advance about the attacks then I would like to see it. It certainly would change everything.

That site doesn't seem creditable.
Why don't you just investigate the footnoted sources on the site in question? There are over a dozen of them, all reporting the same thing, and all from mainstream media sources, including your beloved FOX News.
