Because Mexican immigrants = $$$$$

Ahh, but here's the rub - what are the making in the US?  What would they be making in Mexico?  So are they being exploited?

Heh. Low-income Americans are the ones being exploited by illegal immigrant workers and the businesses that hire them. Sorry, but they just undercut standard wages.

Lazy ass Americans don't want to work for minimum thats the problem. Poor illegals get a carrot dangled in front of them and the second they cross an invisible line they get there legs broken. Blame American businesses not hard working people looking for carrots.

I can't beleive you think that.  Some of these companies do not pay min wage or any sort of health care or workers comp.

Why the hell would America speak Spanish when English is the lingua franca? Spanish is a garbage language, like Italian and French. Which is why I wanna know why High School courses only teach Spanish, Italian, and French, but not German, Russian, Chinese, Farsi, or some other useful language.
Actually several states have bilingual education systems, and also some states have considered becoming bilingual.  In Peoria I'm pretty sure Spanish is not as useful as it is for me.

As far as the other languages I ask you this - how useful is it in your town?  How many people do you know that speak those languages?  How many of those people are qualified to teach it in high school?  Is there a demand for these classes in high school?  There is a demand to teach Spanish in Texas...

Did I really need to answer that question?
I'm talking about the language of business. Of course there isn't a great demand in contemporary American society for those languages, but learning a romance language in America is not really that beneficial. After-all, the world is becoming a predominately bilingual place, with more and more people speaking English. However, the languages NOT based on Latin have a greater importance in modern society as they are more often used in business and government.

Spanish is great if you live on the boarder and wanna work for Taco Bell. Not so great if you want to work in the government, especially in Defense departments. Or if you wanna work in big business.

Unfortunately he's right.  So we raise the minimum wage.  The question is: will people work for that or will just draw more illegals into the country or both?

I've had to interview people before for positions. I worked for a company who didn't pay well and had shit for benefits. I had many legal citizens apply that had absolutley no qualifications at all and still refused to work for what was bieng offered. So what did the company do? They hired illegals who were happy to work for anything. My point: If legal citizens feel undercut by illegals go get an education and see that wages offered will be higher.

In my opion we need to make the existing border patrols more effective and convince the minutemen to sign up, that way less illegals, the minutemen get to do what they want and protect the border and it's all legal. Everyone (execpt the illegal immigrants) wins.
