I have been thinking alot lately about how someone can just kill themselves? I am mainly talking about teenagers, and I just can't see how things can be so bad that suicide is the only way left for them. It's depessing to think about it, and I would say that the music I listen to has made me think about it, but I just can't get round how someone can do it?

I mean, I know there are occasions where it seems "ok" in a way, like if someone is dying painfully of a disease, then I suppose in some ways its "ok". But a teenager with his/her whole life ahead of him/her? I just can't get over how someone could do it. I know I have thought sometimes "What would happen if I was to just commit suicide now?" and I just couldn't find one logical reason apart from the reason mentioned above. It would hurt too many people, mainly my mother. Just thinking about doing that to other people depresses me...

Basicly, is it really that bad? There are ways around almost everything, and I just wanted to know what you think on the matter?

One point that got me thinking was this song, [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adam%27s_SongBlink 182 - Adam's Song[/url]. The song is good, and it opened my eyes to know what other people think on this matter.

Sorry if this made no sense, I just wanted to see what other people thought on the matter.

You could be on to something there.  Things can just get on top of u, its almost as if few take the burden of many if you catch my drift, and knowone can really handle that for any long extended period of time, at that age your suseptible to negative comments more so than an adult, as the saying goes, kids can be so cruel.  Guy in my year, red hair, glasses and a bit on the chunky side, its beyond me how he manages to still come with the stick he gets for it, but to much builds up untill the only escape they know of is to end there life.  In extreme's though, that 'harmless' teasing of the fat kid, if it goes on for years n years really does a lot of damage, and eventually the outcome may be suicide/self harm or some other less than desireable event.  Know a few people who a self harmers, and to give usmarine2007 his due, a lot of them do listen to this so called 'emo music' but I think most of it is down to pressures at school, insecurities, and basically being picked on.  Knowone can last forever.  For teenages anyway, as you get older, illness and money can be major factors, what would u do if your in £100k of debt and have the guys knocking on your door.......?
