In case anyone is unaware, there are two unlockable weapons for the Engineer class. The much loved Pilium, and the Mitchell SAAW 86 AA rocket launcher thing. As of now, it will only lock on to gunships, not transports, is useless for straight firing and can only be fired at vehicles at close range or it will wildly fire off in a random direction. Even when it hits, it does minimum damage.

Please vote and post reasons why, IMO the gun just seems underpowered.

It locks on to 30% of transports, but it only hits 10%, while it hits 90% of gunships

But does it have to lock on when someone enters the pilots seat? Because I can scan round the map and follow a transport with the aimer, but it downright refuses to acknowledge it as a target! Grrrrr

There are enough things in 2142 that can take down a transport and gunship. Seems like everytime you get in a gunship and fly off your titan, all you are doing is dodging a lock on you from somewhere rather than attacking. Although I agree in this poll that it should target both, I think it shouldnt be either

There is a bug with the SAAW where sometimes it doesnt lock on to transports. Sometimes it does however I have shot down several transports with it. It takes 3 missiles which is harder than you think since it takes 5 seconds to reload after the first two missiles are fired. Obviously the bug should be fixed and the SAAW should lock on to all enemy aircraft. I just think its range is a little ridiculous. Often times I get a lock on at the #1 silo on Suez and fly aaaaaaaallllll the way back to the back helipad on the other side of the map and the SAAW is still locked on and blows me up.
