@Laura: if you're getting a data plan too, I'd reccommend avoiding Optus because their 3G coverage is worse than having the skin torn off the bottom of your feet. Both my sister and 3 of my cousins are with Optus and if they even manage to get coverage, it's slow as.

I occasionally use data, mostly only for menial things like Google Maps and IM services. So ~50MB worth of 3G data is what I use a month.
