Keep an eye on the CVG site from the 29th of Jan and you could get your hands on a beta version of the new Lord of the Rings Online game. I've never been a big fan of online RPGs but it might be worth a look.

Just sign up to Codemasters Online Gaming and use the login/id from them to sign in to the LOTRO client you've downloaded.  Be warned, the client is 3.5Gb.

I've never really been impressed enough with the LotR titles to consider an MMO. But then, Codemasters did do IGI2, which was cool...

Turbine is making this game as well. they did DDO, which i began playing, and quickly realized it sucked tremendously. i personally am not going to even consider this game, because i don't want a sour taste in my mouth from the world of Middle Earth (I'm an avid fan of the novels by Tolkien; I've read all of them about 3 times over).
