I thought it was Disney propoganda and a furthering to how the neo-cons and their allies re-write history, couldn't actually get through all the way to the end, I left the theatre about halfway through (little more).

I suppose if you totally divorce it from the fact that it was supposed to be based on a true story, then it is a good fiction drama story in it's own right and probably a nice film.

WTF are you talking about?
Oh, I suppose the radio drone planes  wouldn't have had any drama onboard, right?

I just saw it. I didn't need a reason to remember my countrymens violent end, I think of 9-11 each day.

The main lesson from the movie, is that sometimes you just gotta kill, and that there are people on this Earth who masterbait to the thought of murder in Gods name.

The animals that hyjacked those planes...I want to hurt their familes, burn their ancesteral homes to the ground, and sow it with salt so that nothing ever grows there again.

The movie was painfull to watch, and I wept at the end.

Yeah I saw it a week or two after it came out. It was pretty intense, at the end I cried a bit =/ the way it was done it's like re-living the events.

Hmm, might have to actually see this. I always thought the whole idea was tasteless, done way too soon, but if it's getting good reviews from people here...Hmm.

Sounds like a pretty crap subject for a film if you ask me.

And no happy ending. []

it is a happy ending, just depends on how you look at it, those brave passengers knew they were going to die and they stopped the terrorists from crashing the plane into the capital building they gave there lives so that others could live

Isn't that one of the biggest problems in the middle east? I'm referring to the violence and revenge part.

that plane was shot down, and it was the right thing to do because it was a threat to the white house.

But americans enjoy making their citizen look like heros..  so it was better for their pride to tell them that those american heroes fought the bad terrorists to save the white house.  But in reality they were probably all packed up one on top of another in the back of the plane scared to death.

Why not make a movie out of this and make some money?

that film scared me. i actually felt a small urge to cry but kept myself from not ;p it really is extremely emotional. you'll never get on a plane if you are afraid of flying after seeing this film.

Hollywood is not exactly known for supporting republicans....you have to be rather stupid to call this propaganda.

Gorilla...  Normally, I agree with everything you post.

This is where we totally disagree.  I loved this movie, and Paul Greengrass is an excellent director.

If you want to blast a movie as propaganda, blast that piece of crap World Trade Center movie.  United 93 was much more realistic than that turkey.
