Why is it that the only decent comedy from the USA is by minorities?

In Britain a lot of the best comedy comes from the upper classes eg College revues, but US comedy seems to be Jewish or Black.

Of course there are a few exceptions like the Family Guy, or back to Roseanne and Married with Children, but these seem to be few and far between.

Any reason?

Hey he most definitely gets more azz than me too. Probably more booty than Pryor. He still isn't funny. Very energetic. Not funny though. I agree, personal preferance.

Well, now perhaps, but for a long time the people I mentioned dominated British comedy, say 1970 - 1995ish...

People like Ian Frenais and Tim Brooke-Taylor are still writing.

Because white comics can not touch on the subjects minority comics can. If a white comic talks about racism, he is then, well, a racist..........If Chris Rock does it, he is hilarious. ( which he is)... No discrimination there is there??

instead we get Larry the Cable Guy.......Funny (the first time)

Depends on what you think is funny. Newest show that consistantly makes me laugh is Metalocalypse. More laughs in 15 min than in most hour shows. Don't know if you get it overseas but here is a link with a few episodes....
