huh, strange. im not sure.. havent played bf1942 in awhile. sorry bro.
I am pretty sure that all of the BF1942 patches are incremental. When I got it a couple of years ago, I had to search all over the internet for days to find the older patches and then open them up them in order. It worked after that. Good luck.

after i downloaded the patch from the provided website in the posts above me...it wont even start now

In fact, if you look at the changelog, it mentions Mac OS X (This would also explain why I don't recognise the version number).
