At least under the current administration. I will never go to war for someone I can't trust (which is pretty much government in general.. so I guess I will be going to Canada.. hoorah!)

The whole war thing is very immature and childish, these people need to grow up and realize that killing people is not the answer to anything.

I'd join the Air Force if my eyesight was perfect, cause then I'd have a shot at flying jets.

I'd join the Army to operate Apaches.

I'd join the Marines to operate Super Cobras.

I'd join the Navy to fire missiles hundreds of miles away from the target.

Army has a nice uniform too. Yeah, if there was a draft and I was eligible to be drafted in, I'd sign up for "Apache Pwnage Krew" as quickly as possible, preferrably Warrant Officer training. Might as well get a half-decent pay for putting my life on the line so people can do stuff in the US.

Joining the Marines as soon as I get out of high school. So I got about a year and half left. Now I gotta somehow work that into the idea of marrying my girlfriend, building my own house, starting a family, spending time in collage, and finally getting a good paying job by the time Im 20.

If you join the Navy you can fly off carriers AND they will pay for your laser eye surgery.

Oh and to the guys that said they wouldnt be drafted if forced to, you guys make me sick and embarressed to be an American soldier. I suppose its ok for you to reap all of the benefits of our free country but you wouldnt sacrifice your life to preserve them for others. Thats so fucking selfish.

i was an engeneering aid draftsman but never worked in my rating for the four years i was in
i attained the rank of e3, never applied myself, felt like there was no use if i never was in my own rate

i ran a radio in nam for six months, took three months before they realized i had no security clearence, lol
later i was a storekeeper type then yoeman

at the time all i wanted was to get out, now that sixty is coming too damn fast i wish there had been away to have made a career out of the navy, better years that the outside ever gave me. and the food was free, oh yeah
