Where would they stand ? without the ice drift it would pretty much be it for them.LostFate wrote:
" US admits climate change could kill off polar bears " What a fucking understatement...
It could do a lot more than kill polerbears.

He wins, even though Co2 has nothing to do with the supposed global warming, I think its all bull shit. But heres a graph.ATG wrote:

What is depending on polar bears? Maybe mother nature wants them gone and that's why they are dying off.[F7F7]KiNG_KaDaFFHi wrote:
DBBrinson1 all animals and plants does a job for mother nature that are vital...how small it might be, all of them are neccesary for other species and plants to live....it doest´t matter what the polarbears do for your satisfaction..but there are others depending on them, eventually we will only have cattle and small trees left on this earth if we continue walking down this path. I don´t now if extinction can be caused by anything else then man, all other species hunt naturally, they always leave enough for the next generation to florish.
Sure weatherchanges are natural...but mans effect makes it appear even faster and that is un-natural.

Soo tell me what species that has gone extinct because other reasons then man? And don´t say the dinosaurs. I say we have lots of resposibility for extinction.
Also you talked about global warming, all of theese things has to doo with global warming and removing natural habitats for species. You are right about trees beeing re-newable...but howcome many of the worlds forrests are vanishing then, we are making things happen way too fast and we make things happen that aren´t natural. Polarbears have tasks to fullfill, it might be to keep the penguins and seals on a natural level, who knows for sure, nature is complex. There would be no flowers if there wasn´t bees and soo on.... also it´s kinda hard for animals to defend themselves againts guns and melting ice wouldn´t you say? I say that humans have a big responsibility for their own actions.
Except that the "renewable" forests require massive fertilizer boosts (which usually comes from natural gas) and heavy machinery to maintain (which runs on oil), and the paper still needs to be bleached before it can be sold.DBBrinson1 wrote:
Cattle and small trees left? That is one heck of a slippery slope. Taking the leap from the pending extinction of polar bears to all other wildlife else dying except cows and small trees? Just so you know, trees are a renewable resource. For example. We grow trees to make paper. We cut down trees, we plant more in their place. By recycling paper, we eliminate the need for these paper tree forests, so they get developed into something else. What do they do with all of the chemicals they use to bleach the paper with? Can't dump it into the river. Recycling is a sham (except aluminum).
