Help with my TV

Well I just got a nice new 32" LCD HD ready TV for Christmas, now theres one problem, it switches between 4:3, 16:9, Wide and Full aspects and the touch of a button on the remote.

But, half way through a dvd it switches between them all 4:3, 16:9, WIDE, Full, 4:3, 16:9, WIDE, Full, 4:3, 16:9, WIDE, Full, 4:3, 16:9, WIDE, Full, 4:3, 16:9, WIDE, Full, 4:3, 16:9, WIDE, Full, 4:3, 16:9, WIDE, Full, 4:3, 16:9, WIDE, Full, 4:3, 16:9, WIDE, Full, 4:3, 16:9, WIDE, Full, 4:3, 16:9, WIDE, Full, 4:3, 16:9, WIDE, Full, 4:3, 16:9, WIDE, Full, 4:3, 16:9, WIDE, Full, 4:3, 16:9, WIDE, Full, 4:3, 16:9, WIDE, Full, 4:3, 16:9, WIDE, Full, 4:3, 16:9, WIDE, Full, 4:3, 16:9, WIDE, Full, 4:3, 16:9, WIDE, Full, 4:3, 16:9, WIDE, Full, 4:3, 16:9, WIDE, Full, 4:3, 16:9, WIDE, Full, 4:3, 16:9, WIDE, Full, 4:3, 16:9, WIDE, Full, 4:3, 16:9, WIDE, Full, 4:3, 16:9, WIDE, Full, 4:3, 16:9, WIDE, Full, 4:3, 16:9, WIDE, Full, 4:3, 16:9, WIDE, Full, 4:3, 16:9, WIDE, Full, 4:3, 16:9, WIDE, Full, and its soooooooo annoying the picture just keeps changing sizes, then it stops after many, many minutes of annoyingness.

mine does that too when im watching tv. although i havent fixed it yet i think it has something to do with a setting that adjusts the aspect automatically. Im gonna try to set it manually and it might work.

That's an auto-detection feature. Leave it, it'll calm down once you play enough movies.

My new CRT was doing that until it got the hang of things. (Such a shame the PS2 died before I could play GTA on a TV where I could read the damn map or my healthbars)

Turn off 'Auto' mode, and set the TV to 16:9.

Yeah, sounds like the auto-detect feature is being unsexy. Go into the options and manually set the aspect ratio to your desired preference. You should have a button on your remote to change between them individually. Try pressing that and see if it interupts the process.

Hmmm ok but I have alredy set it manually to 16:9 and then it still jumps when ever it feels like it
