i used to play @ 1280x1024 on my desktop, but when i get my new monitor @ xmas i will play at 1680x1050. on my lappy i play at 1440x900

I do recommend going higher, it is quite nice since you gain more detail but you loose performance if you have a lower end video card. I see your specs is quite high, you should give it a try.docnutz wrote:

1280 X 1024 (7950gx2 can go much higher, but thats the native resolution of the lcd panel)
Not listed. Custom resolution of 1152x656. Just what is scaled to fit my 47" Widescreen, it can hit 1920x1080 if I wanted it to. If I get a monitor for Christmas, I think I'll be running it as 1280x1024.

1024x768@75Hz. I think I'm going to try 1280x1024@75Hz and see how badly it affects my FPS. I get like 70 - 90 almost constantly now.
1400x1050@75 hertz.
