Our family usually leaves a note to say drop it in the porch if we are out and expecting a delivery, but we were in so it would have been pointless.

however I find that the Royal Mail posties are great, I hardly have any troubles.

My friend, who lives in Vegas, ordered a product from Newegg that shipped from California. UPS decided to send it TO ALASKA first, then BACK to California, and finally to Vegas.

Makes sense to me.

Fedex, on the other hand, you have to be home at 2 in the afternoon to get your package and if you aren't there they make you drive down to their warehouse.

Every time FedEx "delivers" to me I end up busing half way across the city to pick whatever it is up from the warehouse, UPS will always try again, even try to do it within a time that I'll be here.
