I love playing as a Squad Leader, especially when the squad works together like a finely greased machine; capping flags and supporting each other (revive/heal/ammo) along the way to each objective.  The one problem is the awkward method of invitie people to your squad to fill it up.  The in-game MANAGE SQUAD menu does little to differentiate between squaddies and UNASSIGNED players.  I spend more time inviting members than I want.  Usually, the best bet is to start a squad and hope for ALPHA!

Perhaps there is another way?

Similar to the way you can now spot enemies and issue objectives, I think it would be cool to use a context sensitive way of inviting people to your squad.  Say you see a guy following you and helping cap flag, just point your cursor over his name, hit "Q" and select "Invite to Squad."  Got a bonehead support soldier that refuses to chuck ammo bags? Place the cursor, hit "Q", and select "Kick from Squad".

This might also work well with the "n00b stick" function we discussed in another thread:  Cursor, "Q", and "Beat n00b with Stick"!!!!

I would love this feature, but DICE has already stated they are not going to add gameplay features, only fixes.

I was thinking more about adding this feature in subsequent releases, not patches.
