Doing nothing is doing better than allowing the place to be fucked up worse than it ever had been in recent history. I'd say the death toll has outsripped Saddam now and at least under Saddam you could go to the shops to pick up a loaf and milk.usmarine2007 wrote:

Maybe you guys should draft a resolution the UN calling for the immediate withdrawal of all US forces. You know, do something instead of just complaining.CameronPoe wrote:

Give the Democrats some time. Bush and the Republicans created the mess, let's give the Democrats a chance to see if their influence can bring any positive impact to bear on the situation. We must reserve judgement until we see the proposed 'new direction'...usmarine2007 wrote:

How about a vote by the Iraqi people. Very simple: Do you want foreign forces out? What do you think the results would be?

ExactlyMedia shifts focus from Iraq and we all forget about it
exactly, many of those things are going to happen over a long timescale, so there is no way to vote for just one.Bertster7 wrote:
It's gonna be a mess.
All depends on the timescale you're talking about though.
Although the Kurds want them to stay in case they get massacred.SpaceApollyon wrote:

wrong. Saddam created this mess. We used to be cool with him.. The he turned into a dick.. Therefore, since we put him there, we had to take him out. I can't believe you support dictators... wait. I'm replying to Cam? Nevermind.. I believe it.CameronPoe wrote:

It's amazing how people can come up with bullshit about me supporting a particular person without me endorsing him in any way, shape or form. Simply amazing. That's even despite the fact that I've lambasted the US on several occasions for helping to create said monster in the first place.DBBrinson1 wrote:

Ya, the classic (forgive me) neo-con "You're with us or against us" bullshit.CameronPoe wrote:
