I've read of maybe one other post that discussed this tactic, but my relevant question is this: should this tactic be labelled an exploit and fixed by DICE so that it is impossible to do? My answer is yes, mainly considering that on Camp Gibraltar earlier tonight, the enemy team was being extremely gaybar and kept spawning in on the EU main camp rooftop (where you can't access on foot), despite our stubborn defense of it. Aside from glitching up to the roof yourself through the same tactics, or an orbital strike to destroy the beacon and/or squad leader, it's extremely hard to take them all down. It essentially gives them an indestructible mobile spawn if they're that far out of reach, and I'm not sure on the BFROE stance on this, thus far I have only heard that nothing is being done about it, yet. I've seen this same tactic on Fall of Berlin, and Belgrade; the other maps don't seem as bad for this.
