Well, to be honest, nobody jumps into battle anymore on a large scale. Para should be left to special forces and units like that for now.

The thing is, Its regimental pride!

Whats the point of being a paratrooper when you have never jumped!

It wont make young lads want to join the regiment, seeing as to complete training you have to do P Company, which is VERY hard! Trinasium and the Log race are to say the least.. Shocking! and ends with live jumps... but whats the point of doing extra 'training' if your not goining to be any more qualified a soldier than somebody that has just done the CiC? Thats what makes the Para's a distinguised regt. plus 60% of the SF are from the para's so maybe this will have a knock on effect here...

Well tbh I think its all gone shyte now, constant defence cuts.. to build new Nukes I would imagine.

Paras are still earning either wings, seen many pass out.

but they havent jumped into active combat for many years, reason/excuse being no need for it?
