hi all

I getting the same error since two weeks when I try to log in on a server:

error message:

"This server only allows players with unmodified content to join. Revert your version of Battlefield 2142 to the current official version to join"

as far as I know I haven't modified a thing ... just applied the two patches

Can I solve this matter without uninstall? Oh yeah I have an official version

First try removing your profile from the "My Documents" folder if that fails manually update Punkbuster

Make sure you have the latest Patch 1.41..... and that Punk buster is up to date http://www.punkbuster.com/index.php

Yes you will have to reset control/vid settings but if it fixes your problem without reinstalling you cant complain.

just updated via pbsetup, gonna try now

::edit:: pbsetup didnt help, now deleting profiles

::edit2:: deleting profiles also didnt help

gonna uninstall tomorrow .... maybe some1 still posts a tip

What firewall you using?? have you opened the correct ports

In order to play the Battlefield 2142 , you must have the following ports open in your firewall.
TCP 443, TCP 17475, UDP 27900,UDP/TCP 29900,TCP 80, TCP 4711, UDP 27901, UDP 1500-4999, UDP/TCP 1024-1124, UDP 29900, UDP/TCP 27900, UDP 16567, UDP 55123-55125, UDP/TCP18000, UDP/TCP 18300, and TCP 18510.
