2) You think disputing the occurance of the Holocaust is going to promote peace.

agree but the 6 million figure is not an evidence.. there is not evidence of that.

like they said at the beginning that 4 millions died at Auschwitz but years later, because of additionnal datas et stuff, reduced that number to 1.5 Millions (the jewish organisation agreed with that new number).

But the total of 6 millions wasnt reduced in the same way that the Auschwitz's numbers were reduced.

I think that this conference will help bring more points on the table.. and the fact that they are allowed to talk about it is a good step toward the truth.

who knows, maybe the president of IRAN will change his mind after the conference and will now believe that the holocaust really happened.

they say "i hate AMERICA" but the fact is that they hate the people running this country and in some case members of the armed forces but not the regular american.. they don't hate the guy sitting in his house eating KFC and watching baseball and who have absolutely no idea of what is happening outside.

The concept of a country created only as a gift to a people because they suffered during a world war is what i hate.

i hate the leaders of that country, i hate the members of the IDF for shooting at unarmed civilians

but i don't hate the regular ISRAELI citizen who for the most part don't even support the action of their government. (same with the americans).

they happen to live there.. its not their fault..

and i find it sad that those poor civilians are often targeted.. thats why i suggest to move ISRAEL to a safer place.. in germany or in the USA.. but i prefer germany.. only logical to create their promised land in the country who persecuted them.. i know i know theres no beautiful beaches and the sun don't shine as often but at least they will be safe

Can't we say the same about the Irish back in the day?

im not really aware of the irish history but i'm pretty sure that they didnt get their land as a gift from the world because they were persecuted..they probably fought for it..  i may be wrong tho.. i really have no idea about their history

I'll have to read on that topic, i know that there was an organisation called IRA who was fighting for something but i don't know if we can compare the two situation.

the Irish people probably deserved the piece of land they are living on and in no way i would suggest them to run away because whatever country think they don't belong there.. again i don't have a clue about the situation there so im only speculating

the ISRAELIS people receive that land from the international community and in my opinion don't deserve it.  but this have nothin to do with the topic of this thread

If anyone seriously thinks that this is for promoting peace, please, have your head examined. Iran is inviting people that are so blind with anti-jewisism that they deny the deaths of millions. There is plenty of research and debate over exact figures for the holocaust, and estimates vary by the very nature of the event. 
There is no need to debate whether or not it happened, because there is no evidence that it didn't, which means debating it is pointless.
There is also no point in debating where or if Israel should have been set up, as there is nothing practical that can be done. 
None of these topics of debate will lead to a better future for the people in the region when taken to their conclusion, and so therefore nothing constructive can come of it.

Denial of the holocaust is a crime in germany, and for good reason.

3- i never denied the holocaust, my opinion is (and its my opinion): the jews were targeted during ww2.. its a fact.. i just think that the numbers are maybe a little bit too high...and since nobody have the right to question those numbers publicly, i think that conference is a good step forward .. (without david duke.. that guy is a real nazi, kkk member and white supremacist and i will never support him)

Any well meaning intellectual debate is constructive regardless of real world effects. It is the persuit of understanding that motivates intelligent conversation, and so far as that goal is reached, the conversation is meaningful.

It is possible to debate whether the Holocaust happened. Remember that a holocaust is a tremendous slaughter, so if one believed the Holocaust (capitalized to denote the historical reference) was to only a minor extent, it is reasonable to argue that the Holocaust was not a holocaust.

You all seem to be so narrow minded when it comes to intellectual discussion or interpretation of events. Debates about the Holocaust are completely reasonable and well founded in intellectual thought and logic.
