Well, if I had to have it one way or the other, I would take the corrupt republican. I endorse niether of course. It really is time for America t ostart giving a shit who they send to Washington, from both parties.sergeriver wrote:
Lowing, I don't believe you wanted the Dem guy to win. Better a corrupted Republican than a Dem.
So if you had to choose between a corrupted Republican and a honest Dem, you still would pick the Republican?lowing wrote:

That's your problem, you don't vote for people, you vote for parties, and that's a big mistake. There are a few good politicians in every party, so if you see a Dem doing the right thing, why wouldn't you vote for him?lowing wrote:

sorry, ya missed the joke, I was joking that there was no such thing as an honest Democrat doing the right thing.sergeriver wrote:

but to answer your question, I don't vote along party lines, I vote my conscience, and when my conscience is no help, I don't vote.sergeriver wrote:

That's a mistake, you leave in the hands of other people the destiny of your City, State or Country when you don't vote. If they both suck, then vote for the one who sucks the less.lowing wrote:

See, that is what I can't do, I refuse to cast a vote that might put in office someone who is less "evil" than another. Goes against the the spirit of have a vote.........sergeriver wrote:

Ditto. I would only vote someone even if I didn't like what they said if the other was a really bad choice. Like Hitler or something.lowing wrote:

Vote for the Libertarian or Green if there are any in a race where the big two suck. I vote for Libertarians almost every chance I get.lowing wrote:

Faith has little to do with it. There are moral and immoral people among the religious and the secular.PASSUBY wrote:

This is true thats why i listed 4-10 because they are basic moral guidelines and not related to religion. What gets me is i actually read a reply the other day that someone posted about George Carlin dismantling those same commandments and giving some bullshit reasoning behind why they are wrong to follow. THATS a prime example of whats wrong with some people today. You should read that reply, Amazing how some people rationalize there immoral behavior.Turquoise wrote:

The thing with George Carlin is that he's a comedian. You can only take him partially seriously. I respect him because he has the balls to say what he does. I don't always agree with him, but he is a nice counter to the evangelicals.<[onex]>Headstone wrote:

I didn't like either choice so I did not vote.

In all honesty, I would've voted for just about anyone other than Bush. Nader included. 2004 was just the same for me. I just hope Dubya is the last Bush we see in this office. I don't think we can survive another one.King_County_Downy wrote:
My vote would've gone green but the green party just ended up taking votes away from gore.
