reinstated no. Freed? Possibly, but if so, who cares? Honestly what does killing him do besides prove that we are no better then him? Some day the ignorant will learn that killing only makes more enemies to kill, maybe that's what they want but imo it sure isn't right...
And "Vietnamation" I honestly can't think of a better world for it. Iraq is Vietnam 40 years in the future and anyone who can't see that doesn't know their history terribly well...

I'm drunk right now but i can tell you that any theories involving Saddam returning to power are about as plausible as me endorsing Israel taking the west bank and Gaza as their own.

Just because people are calling for withdrawal of the troops does not mean we (the US Government) won't continue to be intimately involved in their political and economic sectors.
This is a pretty off-the-wall poll, but Saddam would die very quickly if he was released. I think Muqtada would like to kill him personally.
Speaking of Muqtada, it's far more likely that he will seize power in Iraq when we leave. He's an annoying little fucker that we should have disposed of early on.
